Daan Geelen
In 2009 I started the Tulip Challenge and ever since I have been the Majority owner of our amazing event that takes place in De Rijpereilanden.
Since I was 10 years old I have been dancing in different dance styles like Jazz, Modern, Show musical, HipHop, American Swing, Theatre shows and ofcourse LineDance aswell.
I still do all of this until this day where I have a lot of fun and get excitement from every single time!
I dance in the Stars division in WDM, GOLD and in the UCWDC I dance in Showcase until I get my very last point for the Crown division.
Not only this but I am also a Pro in ProAm, a judge in several organizations and I give workshops all around the world!
I am a multiple European and World champion in LineDance, Choreography and Showcase and next to my everyday job I am a dance instructor for my very own dance company “Daan’s Dance Company”.

At the age of 29 I started dancing LineDance and since then I have been trying out mutiple dance styles like HipHop, Modern, Jazz and Ballet.
In the UCWDC I dance in the LineDance and Showcase Diamond Advanced division but I also dance ProAm together with my beloved partner, Daan Geelen.
I have been an UCWDC Event Director for the Tulip Challenge since 2016.
For our event I have been doing the registration process and making sure everything is ready before our event takes place.
Just until Leann had been promoted to a UCWDC director for the Tulip Challenge I also did the social media and marketing for this amazing event.

I have basically danced my whole life, from ballet to streetdance and from waacking to afro but I started dancing LineDance and ProAm together with my dad, Daan Geelen, at the age of 11.
I had my first ever LineDance competition in 2017 at the BeNeLux and I am now dancing in LineDance Intermediate, ProAm Novice and will be starting showcase this year as well!
I am now 19 years old, still in school but I am now finishing my college degree in Hotel Management. After college I would like to volunteer in other countries in any way possible whilst travelling.
After fulfilling this dream of mine, I will pursue my education at the university of applied sciences where I will probably study social work or pedagogy/childcare.
I absolutely love baking and travelling all around the world but I am also a very passionated fashionista ;)
Since February 2024, I can proudly say that I am a UCWDC Event Director of the Tulip Challenge!
This means so much to me and I would love to be part of many more amazing years where Tulip Challenge can grow in a very positive way and be an exciting dance event for the UCWDC!
I really hope to be an inspiration and an example for a lot of young and incredible dancers that have a very talented and passionate dance future ahead of them!
